Privacy
What this site collects, why, where it's kept and how to have it removed. In plain English.

Who runs this site
samcollins.tv is run by Sam Collins (SISCmedia) as a personal archive. For anything on this page, including asking for something to be removed, email sam@siscmedia.org.
The short version
- No adverts, no tracking cookies and no accounts.
- Your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
- The only things you can send are a Logbook note and, if you use it, a Multiphone broadcast session. People in the Contacts list are added by Sam with their agreement.
The Logbook
When you sign the Logbook, the site keeps:
- the name and note you write
- the date and time you signed
- the country you signed from, which Cloudflare works out from your connection
Your IP address is held for 60 seconds to stop repeat posting, then deleted automatically. Sam is sent an email copy of each note so it can be read and approved.
Notes are only shown publicly once Sam has approved them. Please don't include contact details or anything private.
- Where it's kept
- Cloudflare (Workers KV), which stores it on Sam's behalf
- Approved notes
- Kept on the board until you ask for removal or Sam takes them down
- Notes not approved
- Deleted when rejected, or automatically after 90 days
- Why
- Sam's legitimate interest in running a visitors' book, which you choose to sign
Credits & Contacts
The Contacts list shows the names, roles, referral notes and (if they want one) a LinkedIn profile link of people who've worked with Sam. Sam only adds someone after they've agreed to it, usually by email. The list is stored with Cloudflare (Workers KV) and stays up until the person asks for it to be changed or removed. Email sam@siscmedia.org to do that. A LinkedIn link is just a link: nothing from LinkedIn loads on this site, but if you click one you go to LinkedIn, and LinkedIn's privacy policy applies there.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Every visit passes through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic technical details (such as your browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. Visitor numbers are counted in total only, with no cookies.
Multiphone broadcast
If you join a Multiphone session, a connection server (run on Cloudflare) briefly sees the IP addresses of the devices taking part so it can introduce them to each other. Video and audio then go directly between the devices and never pass through or are stored by this site. Because the connection is direct, devices in the same session can see each other's IP addresses. Cloudflare's connection service helps devices find each other.
Videos in the Archive
Tapes in the Archive play YouTube videos, which only load when you play one, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube (Google) handles it under Google's privacy policy.
Fonts
The site's typefaces are currently loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. This is being moved so the fonts are served from this site instead.
Things saved in your browser
A few settings are saved on your own device only, such as whether you've already seen the opening screen, your Broadcast clock choices and an End credits list you're working on. They're never sent to this site, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what's held about you, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted. Email sam@siscmedia.org and include the name you signed with. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
